Day 1: Ottawa, Canada's capital city is our destination for a three-night stay. Known as one of the world's most beautiful capitals, the city is especially beautiful during the popular Tulip Festival of Spring. Each spring Ottawa is transformed into a wonderland of color with millions of tulips, the largest display in all of North America. Tonight enjoy a delicious dinner that concludes our day. (D)
Day 2: A local guide will introduce us to the sights of this beautiful city. We'll visit Parliament, the seat of Canadian Government, and then we'll tour the coin manufacturing plant at the Royal Canadian Mint. This afternoon we visit the Museum of Civilization, one of Ottawa's most popular attractions. Dinner this evening will be at another popular Ottawa restaurant. (D)
Day 3: We visit the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Stables, where we may even see a training session taking place. Later we enjoy a relaxing cruise on the Rideau Canal. The remainder of the afternoon is free to explore Ottawa.
Day 4: We begin our relaxing journey home as we visit the lovely 1000 Islands, where we enjoy a beautiful springtime cruise. We return home early evening.
|
Day 1: One of the Conestoga Tours' popular tours has been upgraded with our deluxe accommodations in South Yarmouth. We arrive late afternoon at the All Seasons Inn for our three-night stay. A savory dinner will be included this evening at a popular local restaurant. (D)
Day 2: After a hearty New England breakfast, we embark on a morning whale watch cruise to the nearby feeding grounds of our native finback and humpback whales. Watch in amazement as the world's largest living creatures cavort before your eyes. This afternoon we tour historic Plimoth Plantation, where costumed guides take us back to the age of the Pilgrims. Dinner is also included tonight (B, D)
Day 3: Following breakfast, we visit quaint Martha's Vineyard, a storybook island paradise filled with breathtaking views of Gay Head's cliffs, tiny fishing villages, the colonial homes of Edgartown, and the gingerbread cottages in Oak Bluffs. Dinner completes another memorable day. (B, D)
Day 4: A highlight of today will be a visit to Newport, home to the rich and famous during the Golden Age. Upon arrival travel the Ten Mile Drive to look at some of the fabulous homes before arriving at the Breakers, Newport's largest mansion, for a tour. We continue home with a dinner stop enroute, returning around 10:00 P.M. Breakfast is included today. (B)
