Mount Rushmore

Day 1: We begin our great western journey aboard your deluxe Conestoga Tours motorcoach as we travel to Fremont, IN. The friendships that you make on this tour and the memories of the sights and entertainment are sure to last a long time.
Day 2: We continue our westward journey, visiting Notre Dame University, enroute to Chicago. Upon arrival in Chicago, we embark on a trolley tour that will show us the famous sights of the "Windy City." We also get a bird's-eye view of Chicago atop the Sears Tower. Dinner is included this evening at a popular local restaurant. (D)
Day 3: We continue to Minneapolis, arriving mid-afternoon to give you time at the famous Mall of America, America's largest shopping mall.
Day 4: A travel day finds us arriving in Rapid City, SD this evening.Geiser...Yahoooo!!
Day 5: We view Mount Rushmore this morning and give you the chance for a close-up view of the famous monument. Next, we travel to the Crazy Horse Memorial, the largest statue in the world. This afternoon we may see the buffalo in their natural surroundings during our Buffalo Herd Jeep Ride. Dinner is included this evening. (D)
Day 6: Today we visit the Fort Laramie National Historic Site. The fort, an important fur-trading post during the 1800s, will show us what life was like during that period. We stay in Laramie this evening. 
Day 7: This morning we travel to Cheyenne, WY to see the Frontier Days Old West Museum. The highlight of our day is sure to be the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo this afternoon. The rodeo is famous for it's fast pace and large number of contestants. All of your favorite events will take place in a most memorable day.

 

Day 8: We drive to Jackson Hole, WY today, where we tour Grand Teton National Park, famous for its spectacular mountain scenery and wildlife. Towering more than a mile above the valley at Jackson Hole, the Grand Tetons rise to over 13,000 feet. We enjoy dinner at a popular restaurant. (D)Ride em Cowboy!!
Day 9: We spend the day touring Yellowstone Park. We enter Yellowstone at the southern entrance and see Old Faithful, which spouts steaming water at regular intervals. We spend the remainder of the day visiting other famous landmarks in the park before returning to our motel. Dinner is again included this evening. (D)
Day 10: A travel day finds us arriving in Fort Collins.
Day 11: We travel to Colorado Springs and visit the U.S. Air Force Academy. We then visit Pike's Peak, where we board the Pike's Peak Cog Railway, the highest cog railroad in the U.S. Stretching nine Miles long, the railway climbs over 7,500 feet. 
Day 12: We begin our journey east, traveling to Topeka, KS. 
Day 13: We travel to St. Louis, the gateway city to the west. Dinner is included tonight. You can explore Union Station on your own this evening. (D)
Day 14: We continue our travels, arriving in Cincinnati late afternoon. A final farewell dinner allows everyone to exchange tales of our western journey. (D)
Day 15: Bid farewell to your travel companions as we return home late afternoon.
