Day 1: A new summer tour finds us traveling to Portland, Maine's largest city-by-the-sea. Dinner is included tonight upon arrival. You can walk to the historic Old Port waterfront district from the hotel. (D)Maine Lobster Festival
Day 2: After an included buffet breakfast, travel to Boothbay Harbor, one of mid-coast Maine's most scenic villages. Board Cap'n Fish's tour boat for a magnificent harbor cruise to see the puffin colony at Eastern Egg Rock. A naturalist will be onboard to tell you about the puffins, which only nest here from mid-June to mid-August, and you'll delight in seeing these little birds with their funny faces. Lunch on your own in Boothbay Harbor, where fishing craft lie alongside wharves that follow the quaint, winding village streets. Free time for shopping in waterfront boutiques here, as well, before heading "downeast" along Maine's scenic mid-coast region to the Bar Harbor area. Check in to the Holiday Inn in Ellsworth, ME for a two-night stay. Dinner included this evening at the hotel or nearby. (B, D)
Day 3: After an included full buffet breakfast, travel across the causeway to Mt. Desert Island for the day. Meet your local guide for a tour of Bar Harbor village and Acadia National Park. See the breathtaking beauty that has attracted the elite to this area for years. The views from the top of Cadillac Mountain are spectacular; you'll also see the carriage roads built by the rich and famous summer visitors. Enjoy lunch on your own in Bar Harbor before an afternoon whale watch tour. Don your souvenir lobster hat for a traditional Maine lobster bake dinner tonight in a casual setting overlooking Hull's Cove, before returning to the hotel. Your meal will be steamed in a large cooker, where you can watch and ask questions about lobster fishing and lobster cooking. You'll want to bring your appetite for this feast! (B, D)
Day 4: Attend the 61st Annual Maine Lobster Festival along the Rockland harbor front in mid-coast Maine, where lobster is king! Festivities include costumes, music and entertainment and, of course, feasting on hot Maine lobster, lobster rolls and other fresh seafood delicacies at your leisure. Watch a variety of talents from lobster trap building to fishing demonstrations, visit the craft tents and other local highlights, including tours of the US Coastal Guard Station (shuttles provided) and the Navy ship docked at the waterfront park, plus an amusing Children's Parade and photo opportunities with King Neptune, the festival's mascot. Depart Rockland at 3 PM., heading south to the village of Freeport. After a quick stop at the L.L. Bean flagship store, complete with an outdoor trout pond, you'll return to the Holiday Inn in downtown Portland. Don your souvenir Maine lobster hat tonight for your first lobster choice dinner, served in an historic setting in Portland. Enjoy the jazz sounds of Marlene on the piano in the hotel lounge this evening. (B, D) Day 5: After a full buffet breakfast, we depart Maine with the memories of the exciting attractions, beautiful scenery and delicious meals we have experienced during the Maine Lobster Festival. (B)

Day 1: Travel in your deluxe Conestoga Tours motorcoach to the French-Canadian province of Quebec, known for its distinct European flair. We conclude our travel day to Montreal and enjoy a fabulous dinner at a popular local restaurant. (D)French Canadian Summer Adventure
Day 2: We enjoy a guided tour of Montreal, where we see the best of the old and new. We tour the Notre Dame Basilica, then we meander through the ultra-modern Montreal underground. We then continue to the beautiful Charlevoix region of Quebec. We spend two nights at the prestigious Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu. Built in the style of a French castle, the Le Manoir Richelieu is majestically located between the Sr. Lawrence and the mountains. Tonight enjoy dinner at the resort and visit their exciting casino, if you wish. (D)
Day 3: Enjoy a breakfast buffet before setting out for a memorable experience on a whale-watching cruise on the calm waters of Bay St. Catherine. Later, sit down to a tasty dinner before heading back to the Manoir Richelieu for some free time to explore the resort. (B, D)
Day 4: Following breakfast, we depart for Quebec City; upon arrival we have lunch at the world-famous Chateau Frontenac. This afternoon we learn about the history of Quebec on a city highlights tour. We allow free time late afternoon and early evening to explore the shops and eateries of old Quebec. (B, L)
