Day 1: We depart today and arrive this evening in Cape Cod, known for its seashores, windmills, and lighthouses. A welcome reception awaits us. This evening we'll enjoy a lobster dinner. (D)
Day 2: Sea breezes welcome us this morning as we enjoy breakfast before we spend the day on the island of Martha's Vineyard. Known for its appeal to the rich and famous, including the First Family, it welcomes all tourists. Oak Bluffs is noted for its collection of small Carpenter Gothic cottages clustered in the Methodist Camp Meeting Grounds. Our island tour includes a visit to Edgartown. We return by ferry to the mainland after a full day of sightseeing. This evening we'll have dinner and entertainment. (B, D)
Day 3: We'll begin with breakfast this morning, then depart for a tour of Hyannis with a stop at the Kennedy Memorial. Then we'll travel along the picturesque route of 6A - the Old Kings Highway. View many old sea captains' homes in quaint villages as we make our way to historic Sandwich. This village is one of the Cape's oldest towns. We will see such landmarks as the Hoxie House which is the Cape's oldest house, the Thornton Burgess Museum named for the author of Peter Rabbit, and the Dexter Grist Mill where today they still grind grain for sale, and the First Church of Christ, known for its Christopher Wren designed steeple. Admission to the Heritage Plantation includes the collection of Currier & Ives prints, the antique & classic car exhibits in the round barn, including a 1930 Duesenberg once owned by Gary Cooper, and much more. Then it's off to the Hyannis Green for our reserved seating at the annual Pops by the Sea Concert, where we'll be entertained by the Boston Pops Orchestra along with a celebrity guest conductor. We'll enjoy another fine dinner tonight. (B, D)
Day 4: After breakfast this morning, we depart for home, stopping in Newport, RI, home of the rich and famous during the Golden Age. Upon arrival, we tour Ten Mile Drive for a peek at some of the fabulous homes and even visit one of the mansions. Lunch will be on your own before we begin the final leg of our vacation. (B)

Day 1: Journey to the Appalachians of East Tennessee, where Virginia and North Carolina borders on the western slope of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We travel to Jonesborough, Tennessee's oldest town and home of the National Storytelling Festival. This evening following an elegant dinner, horse-drawn carriages will drive you along gas-lit streets where costumed characters step
out of the alleyways and entertain you with stories and legends. (D)
Day 2: The day features magnificent 250-room Biltmore Estate in nearby Asheville, N.C. Our tour features several rooms of the mansion, as well as gardens, conservatory and winery. Lunch is included at the elegant Deerpark Restaurant. This evening in Jonesborough, we are met by a fool and her zany friends who escort us to the Fool's Dinner. The meal served by sillies, includes dishes like Buzzard Breast and Possum Chops (chicken and pork). The sillies who serve your food also sit at your tables to both answer and create questions. It's a madcap evening where storytellers and musicians also provide entertainment during and after the meal. (L, D)
Day 3: Our day begins on Bays Mountain, a 3000-acre nature preserve. Our tour begins with a wolf-howling session given by the naturalists at this mountain retreat. We will also see many other animals like bobcats and deer. We also enjoy a barge cruise on beautiful Bays Mountain Lake. We return to Jonesborough which is often described as a "Norman Rockwell-like Town:" Our guide takes us inside historic buildings and even a home. We continue late afternoon to Pigeon Forge. Tonight a delicious dinner tops off our exciting day. (D)
Day 4: We spend the day at Dollywood Park, one of our country's most popular theme parks. Enjoy shows, crafts and even the rides. This evening we attend the Black Bear Jamboree Dinner Show. (D)
Day 5: We depart for home with many wonderful memories of our time in Jonesborough and the Smoky Mountains. We return home early evening.
