Day 1: Travel in the fall for a long weekend to lovely Cape Cod, known for its seashores, windmills and lighthouses. We arrive late afternoon and enjoy a festive welcome reception. This evening we will enjoy a welcome dinner together. (D)
Day 2: We'll begin with breakfast this morning, then depart for a tour of Hyannis with a stop at the Kennedy Memorial. Board the Cape Cod Railroad for a journey to Bourne, crossing over the famous Railroad Bridge. We will depart Buzzards Bay and enjoy a delicious meal at the Bourne Scallop Festival and enjoy some leisure time exploring the many crafts booths and entertainment of this annual Cape Cod tradition. Later this afternoon we will board the Hyline Ferry for a 90-minute cruise along the Cape Cod Canal. We return to our hotel and enjoy the evening on your own, free to explore the quaint Main Street of Falmouth. (B, D)
Day 3: Sea breezes welcome us this morning as we enjoy breakfast before we spend the day on the island of
Martha's Vineyard. Known for its appeal to the rich and famous including the First Family, it welcomes all tourists. Oak Bluffs is noted for its collection of small Carpenter Gothic cottages clustered in the Methodist Camp Meeting Grounds. Our island tour includes a visit to Edgartown. We return by ferry to the mainland after a full day of sightseeing. This evening we'll enjoy another wonderful dinner at a popular local restaurant. (B, D)
Day 4: A highlight of today will be a visit to Newport, home to the rich and famous during the Golden Age. Upon arrival, travel the Ten Mile Drive to look at some of the fabulous homes before arriving at the Breakers, Newport's largest mansion, for a tour.
We continue home with a dinner stop enroute, returning around 10:00 PM. Breakfast is included today. (B)

Day 1: Enjoy the autumn scenery s we travel through New York, Vermont and Massachusetts on a shorter New England tour t hat includes many outstanding ttractions, fabulous scenery and outstanding dining experiences. We arrive tonight in Rutland, Vermont where we enjoy a delicious dinner. D)
Day 2: Following breakfast, we will visit the Vermont Marble Exhibit. One of the largest exhibits of its kind, it illustrates the origin, quarrying and finishing of marble. Next we visit the Norman Rockwell Museum, which displays more than 2000 pieces of his work. Then we're off to Woodstock and the Billings Farm Museum, which encompasses both a modern working dairy farm and a museum of Vermont life in the 1890s. We conclude our day of autumn sightseeing with a picture stop at Quechee Gorge, referred to as "Vermont's Grand Canyon" before returning to our hotel. Another tasty New England dinner is included tonight. (B, D)
Day 3: Today, we head south to Bellow Falls for a sightseeing trip aboard the Green Mountain Flyer, a fully restored vintage passenger train. We travel 26 miles through the countryside, enjoying spectacular foliage and pastoral scenes that are the very essence of Vermont. We have included a box lunch to be eaten aboard the train. Our next stop is in South Deerfield, Massachusetts, where we visit the headquarters of the Yankee Candle Company. The huge complex includes a factory, candle store, museum, and a Bavariar_ Christmas village. You can watch costumed candle-makers create taper candles, and may even want to try your hand at dipping candles. Our final stop is West Springfield, where we have dinner and spend the night. Day 4: Our morning is spent in Old Sturbridge Village. This is a recreated New England farming village of the 1790 to 1840 period, and contains more than 40 original structures on 200 acres of land. We depart this afternoon for our return journey home. (B)
