Day 1: Travel through flaming fall foliage to the upper peninsula of Michigan. We spend the night in Dearborn, where a delicious dinner concludes our day. (D)
Day 2: We spend a large part of today at The Henry Ford Museum. The Henry Ford is the history destination that brings the American Experience to life. With a rich and diverse offering of exhibits, demonstrations, programs and reenactments, The Henry Ford celebrates yesterday's traditions as well as today's innovations. Two distinct attractions at the Henry Ford captivate and inspire visitors. Spread over more than 90 acres, Greenfield Village comes alive with the unforgettable sights, sounds and settings of Americas past. Housing one of the largest collections of its kind ever assembled, Henry Ford Museum showcases the people and the ideas that have fired imaginations and changed lives. We continue to Mackinac Island and board the ferry to our accommodations for the next two nights at the Island House. Enjoy dinner at the Inn before retiring for the night. (D)
Day 3: We've included breakfast and a captivating guided tour of the island in a horse-drawn carriage. The magic continues as we enjoy the famous buffet lunch at the Grand Hotel. The bountiful buffet extends over 100 feet in length! Your afternoon is free to explore the shops and relax on the Island House porch with your favorite cocktail before dinner. (B, L, D)
Day 4: Following breakfast, we bid good-bye to Mackinac and travel to the charming Bavarian community at Frankenmuth, another of Michigan's jewels. We enjoy lunch at a popular restaurant and give you free time to explore the town and its famous Christmas shops before continuing on to Dearborn. (B, L)
Day 5: Travel through the fall colors of Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania as we return home late afternoon.

We visit St. Mary's Church, built by German Catholics, and today is the oldest surviving church in Cincinnati. We later stop at the Museum Center at Union Terminal, featuring the largest tile mosaics in the United States. Late afternoon we relax over a "tasting treat" at Mecklenburg Gardens, where we enjoy the ambience of this 19`h century building and a hearty brew (nonalcoholic available) and soft pretzels and beer cheese. Dinner and entertainment this evening are at the Hoftbrauhaus, one of the only three in the world. We will be entertained by a polka band and enjoy German foods. (B, D)
